Act N o . 3 0 , 1980 .

An Act to amend the Fire Brigades Act, 1909, with respect to coronial inquiries concerning fires. [Assented to, 16th April. 1980.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1.      This Act may be cited as the "Fire Brigades (Coroners)

Amendment Act, 1980".

2.       (1) Except as provided in subsection ( 2 ) , this Act shall

commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2 ) Section 3 shall commence on the day appointed and

notified under section 2 (2) of the Coroners Act, 1980.

3.      The Fire Brigades Act, 1909, is amended—

(a) by omitting the short heading before section 25;

(b) by omitting section 25.
