| 2 . | Section six is amended by omi t t i ng | t h e words | " i n | m a n n e r |

| 3 . Section th i r t een | is amended | by add ing t h e | following |
subsect ion:—
(2) The t rus tees of any proper ty , real or personal , of any
vo lun teer fire br igade may vest such proper ty in t he board, to be
held by i t subject to the provisions of th i s Act , b u t free from
| 4 . | (1) | Section th i r ty-four , | subsect ion one, is | a m e n d e d — |
| (a) | by the addition of the following words after the word |
| " J a n u a r y " : — " Provided | t h a t for the | year | one | thousand | |

The above words shall be deemed to have been incor
porated in t he Pr inc ipa l Act as from the commencemen t of |

| (b) | by the addition after the words " paid by " of the words " the councils of the munic ipal i t ies and shires i n . " |
(2) Subsection two of t h e same section is amended by the
| omission | of t he | w rords " t h e | a m o u n t of | such | con t r ibu t ion , " and | the |
| subs t i tu t ion in l ieu thereof | of t he | words " the to ta l a m o u n t to be |
| con t r ibu ted | as | aforesaid." |
5 . Section th i r ty -n ine is amended by the omission of the words
" munic ipa l i ty or shire, or any p a r t thereof to which this Ac t appl ies ," and the subs t i tu t ion in lieu thereof of t he words " tire dis t r ic t ."
