AN ACT to amend section forty-one of the Fire

Brigades Act, 1916-1925.

[Assented to 16th December, 1941.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1.    This Act may be cited as the Fire Brigades Act Short title.

Amendment Act, 1941, and shall be read as one with the a ttc8A;

Fire Brigades Act, 1916-1925 (No. 13 of 1917 as amended 8• 4'

by the Acts No. 18 of 1918, No. 21 of 1924, and No. 36 of

1925), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2.	Section forty-one of the principal Act is amended	Amendment
of s. 41.

by deleting subsection (2) and inserting in lieu. thereof

a subsection as follows :—

(2) The Treasurer shall contribute two-ninths of the amount of such annual estimated expenditure, the said local authorities two-ninths thereof, and the said insurance companies five-ninths thereof.

Provided that for the purposes of this sub- section the term "Annual estimated expendi- ture" shall not include any moneys expended or proposed to be expended in relation to or arising from either directly or indirectly war or warlike operations.
