AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance 1974,
as amended by the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance 1975
and the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance (No. 2 ) 1975.

I, T H E GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under

the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1973.

F IRE BRIGADE (ADMINISTRATION) ORDINANCE (No. 3)

1 . ( 1 ) This Ordinance may be cited as the Fire Brigade (Adminis­

tration) Ordinance (No. 3) 1975.*

(2) The Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance 1974,f as
amended by the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance 1975$ and
% Ordinance N o . 4, 1975.
§ Ordinance N o . 10, 1975.
(a) upon attaining the age of 55 years; or
(b) at any time after attaining the age of 55 years but before attaining the age of 60 years.".
the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance (No. 2) 1975,§ is in

this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3 ) Section 1 of the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance

(No. 2) 1975 is amended by omitting sub-section ( 4 ) .

(4) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Fire Brigade (Administration) Ordinance 1974-1975.

2. Section 24 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by adding at

the end thereof the following sub-section:—

" (2) A member of the Brigade appointed by the Commissioner in

pursuance of sub-section 82 (3) may retire from the Brigade—

3 . Section 82 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from sub-section (4) the words " after that date " and substituting the words " after the date fixed by the Minister by the notice published in the Gazette under sub-section (1) ".
