Made under the Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement

Amendment Act 2020 section 2(1)(c) and (d) by the Governor in

Executive Council.

1.            Citation

This proclamation is the Fines, Penalties and Infringement

Notices Enforcement Amendment Act 2020 Commencement
Proclamation 2020.

2.             Commencement of Act

The Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement

Amendment Act 2020 (other than Part 1, Part 2 Divisions 1 and 2,

Part 2 Division 3 (but only section 87) and Part 2 Division 4 (but only section 103)) comes into operation as follows —

(a)	sections 9 to 86, 88 and 89 and Part 3 — on 29 September 2020;
(b)	the rest of the Act — on 30 September 2020.

Notes:

1.

The following regulations come into operation on the day on which the Fines,
Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Amendment Act 2020
section 76 comes into operation -

(a)	the Agriculture and Food Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2020, other than Part 1;
(b)	the Animal Welfare (General) Amendment Regulations 2020 regulation 9;
(c)	the Commerce Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2020, other than Part 1;
(d)	the Emergency Management Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2020, other than regulations 1 and 2;
(e)	the Environment Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2020, other than Part 1;
(f)	the Health Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2020, other than Part 1;
(g)	the Local Government Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2020, other than Part 1;
(h)	the Mining Rehabilitation Fund Amendment Regulations 2020, other than regulations 1 and 2;
(i)	the Security and Related Activities (Control) Amendment Regulations 2020, other than regulations I and 2;

the Transport Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices)

Regulations 2020, other than Part I;

(k)	the Water Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations
2020, other than Part 1.

2.	The following regulations come into operation on the day on which the Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Amendment Act 2020 sections 9 to 86, 88 and 89 and Part 3 come into operation -
(a) the Attorney General Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2020, other than Part I;

3.	The following regulations come into operation on the day on which the Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Amendment Act 2020 section 95 comes into operation -
(a) the Cross-border Justice Amendment Regulations 2020 regulation 7;
