under the

Fines Further Amendment Act 2008 No 110

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Fines Further Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 31 March 2010 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Signed and sealed at Sydney, this 24th day of March 2010.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Fines Further Amendment Act 2008. The uncommenced provisions make amendments to the Fines Act 1996 relating to the use of official cautions instead of the issue of penalty notices and the review of decisions to issue penalty notices.
