Commencement Proclamation

under the

Fines Further Amendment Act 2008 No 110

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Fines Further Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 19 January 2010 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a)	Schedule 1 [1] (to the extent that it is uncommenced), [3], [4], [17] and [23],
(b)	Schedule 2.2 [4].

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Fines Further Amendment Act 2008 that deal with court fine enforcement orders relating to work and development orders and orders for time to pay (for persons receiving government benefits) under the Fines Act 1996.
