Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to specify that penalty notices issued under section 85A of regulation-making provision).

the Firearms Act 1996 are penalty notices for the purposes of the Fines Act 1996.

This Regulation is the Fines Amendment (Firearms) Regulation 2009.

Insert after clause 4A (c):

(d) section 85A of the Firearms Act 1996.
