Interstate Fines) Regulation 2000

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Fines Act 1996.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to postpone the expiry of clause 25 of the Fines Regulation 1997 (which deals with the enforcement of interstate fines) from 1 July 2000 to 1 January 2001.

This Regulation is made under the Fines Act 1996, including section 128 (the general power to make regulations) and clause 1 of Schedule 3 (the power to make regulations of a savings or transitional nature).

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fines Amendment (Enforcement of Interstate

Fines) Regulation 2000.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 30 June 2000.

3 Amendment of Fines Regulation 1997

The Fines Regulation 1997 is amended by omitting from clause 25 (9) the words “1 July 2000” and by inserting instead the words “1 January 2001”.
