Wales) Act 1999 No 1—Proclamation

Gordon Samuels, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Financial Sector Reform (New South Wales) Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 26 November 1999 as the day on which section 17 (2) and Subdivision 1 of Division 3 of Part 5 of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Financial Sector Reform (New South Wales) Act 1999 that repeal the Financial Institutions Commission Act 1992 and dissolve the New South Wales Financial Institutions Commission and its Board.
