Financial Management and Accountability Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, william patrick deane, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 and the Productivity Commission (Repeals, Transitional and Consequential Amendments)Act 1998.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on gazettal.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Financial Management and Accountability Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Schedule (Prescribed agencies)

3.1   Item 127:

Omit the item.

3.2   After item 140, insert:

“140A Productivity Commission, comprising: (a) the Chair and other members of the Productivity Commission; and (b) persons appointed or employed under the Public Service Act 1922 to assist the Commission; and (c) persons engaged under section 45 of the Productivity Commission Act 1998 Chair of the Commission”.

4.   Application of amendment

4.1   The amendments made by regulation 3 have effect from the commencement of the Productivity Commission Act 1998.
