I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Financial Management and Accountability Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1).

1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on 1 July 2009.

1. Amendment of Financial Management and Accountability Regulations 1997

Schedule 1 amends the Financial Management and Accountability Regulations 1997.

[1]          Schedule 1, Part 1, after item 179

insert

179A Safe Work Australia, comprising:    (a)  the Chief Executive Officer of Safe Work Australia; and   (b)  persons engaged under the Public Service Act 1999 who assist the Chief Executive Officer Chief Executive Officer
