I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

  1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Financial Management and Accountability Amendment Regulations 2008 (No. 3).

  1. Commencement

These Regulations commence as follows:

(a)on the day after they are registered —regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;

(b)on the commencement of Schedule 1 to the Fisheries Legislation Amendment (New Governance Arrangements for the Australian Fisheries Management Authority and Other Matters) Act 2008 — regulation 4 and Schedule 2.

Australian Fisheries Management Authority, comprising:

(a) the Chairperson of the Commission, the other part‑time commissioners and the CEO mentioned in subsection 12 (1) of the Fisheries Administration Act 1991; and

  (b)  the members of a committee established under section 54 of that Act; and

   (c)  the members of a management advisory committee established under subsection 56 (1) of that Act; and

Chief Executive Officer

  (d)  the members of a sub‑committee established by a management advisory committee under paragraph 58 (1A) (a) of that Act; and

   (e)  the staff assisting the CEO mentioned in section 68 of that Act; and

   (f)  consultants engaged under section 69 of that Act; and

   (g)  persons engaged under contract to assist the Authority.
