Financial Management and Accountability Amendment Regulations 1998 (No. 5)2

I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

1.   Name of regulations

1.1   These regulations are the Financial Management and Accountability Amendment Regulations 1998 (No. 5).

2.   Commencement

2.1   These regulations commence on 1 September 1998.

3.   Amendment

3.1   The Financial Management and Accountability Regulations are amended as set out in these regulations.

4.   Regulation 1 (Citation)

4.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Name of regulations

 “1. These regulations are the Financial Management and Accountability Regulations 1997.”.

5.   Schedule (Prescribed agencies)

5.1   After item 111, insert:

“111AA Australian Government Solicitor (AGS), comprising: (a) the person occupying, or performing the duties of, the position within the Attorney‑General’s Department known as the Chief Executive Officer of the AGS; and (b) persons appointed or employed under the Public Service Act 1922 to assist the Chief Executive Officer Chief Executive Officer”.
