1Name of regulation

This regulation is the Financial Management and Accountability Amendment Regulation 2013 (No. 6).

2Commencement

This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

3Authority

This regulation is made under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Financial Management and Accountability Regulations 1997

1  After item 401.029 of Schedule 1AA

Insert:

401.030 Caring for our Country—Sustainable Agriculture stream
Objective: To support sustainable agriculture

2  After item 417.027 of Schedule 1AA

Insert:

417.028 Building Multicultural Communities Program

Objective: To provide grants to community organisations (including local government bodies) for construction, fit‑out and equipment of multicultural community spaces in order to:

(a) empower communities to embrace the benefits of multiculturalism and maintain cohesive and socially inclusive neighbourhoods for the benefit of the nation; and

(b) provide an opportunity for Australians of all backgrounds to come together for activities, programs and community events, while promoting a sense of belonging for Australians of every race, ethnic or linguistic group, culture and religion
