1Name of regulation

This regulation is the Financial Management and Accountability Amendment (2014 Measures No. 2) Regulation 2014.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

3Authority

This regulation is made under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Add:

9 New Colombo Plan

To provide benefits to Australian undergraduate students by providing financial assistance for the purpose of supporting them to undertake study and internships in the Indo‑Pacific region and, in connection with this, to:

(a) lift knowledge of the Indo‑Pacific region in Australia and strengthen our people‑to‑people and institutional relationships by increasing the number of Australian undergraduate students undertaking study and internships in the region; and

(b) deepen Australia’s relationships with the region through the engagement of university, business and other stakeholder networks in supporting the programme and ensuring such experiences are highly valued across the Australian community; and

(c) help study in the Indo‑Pacific region become a rite of passage for Australian undergraduate students, and increase the number of Asia‑capable and work‑ready Australian graduates.

10 Interim Farm Household Allowance To provide income support to assist farmers who are experiencing financial hardship.
