Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997
I, TIM YOUNGBERRY, First Assistant Secretary, Financial Reporting and Cash Management Division, Department of Finance and Deregulation, make this Determination under subsection 32(2) of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (the FMA Act).
This Determination is made due to a decision of the Australian Government to transfer the Housing Affordability functions from the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities to the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and the Department of the Treasury.

Name of Determination
This Determination is the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 Determination 2012/07 — Section 32 (Transfer of Functions from SEWPaC to FaHCSIA and TREASURY).
Note 1: This Determination has been made by a delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Deregulation. The Secretary is a delegate of the Minister for Finance and Deregulation in accordance with section 62 of the FMA Act. The Secretary has delegated his power in accordance with section 53 of the FMA Act.
Note 2: Acronyms used in this Determination are as follows:
(a)“SEWPaC” – refers to the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities;
(b)“FaHCSIA” – refers to the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs; and
(c)“TREASURY” – refers to the Department of the Treasury.
Note 3:
Functions relating to Housing Affordability were transferred from SEWPaC to FaHCSIA and TREASURY due to a change to the Administrative Arrangements Order on
14 December 2011.
Commencement
This Determination commences on 1 February 2012.
Amendment of Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2010-2011
Schedule 1 amends Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2010-2011 to:
(a)Reduce the “Administered” item opposite “Outcome 6” for SEWPaC by $4,288,864.53; and
(b)Increase the “Administered” item opposite “Outcome 2” for FaHCSIA by $4,288,864.53.
4 Amendment of Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2011-2012
Schedule 2 amends Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2011-2012 to:
(a)Reduce the “Departmental” item opposite “Total: Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities” for SEWPaC by $3,130,563.45;
(b)Increase the “Departmental” item opposite “Total: Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs” for FaHCSIA by $2,141,834.33;
(c)Increase the Increase the “Departmental” item opposite “Total: Department of the Treasury” for TREASURY by $988,729.12;
(d)Reduce the “Administered” item opposite “Outcome 2” for SEWPaC by $118,256,834.04; and
(e)Increase the “Administered” item opposite “Outcome 2” for FaHCSIA by $118,256,834.04.
5 Amendment of Appropriation Act (No. 2) 2011-2012
Schedule 3 amends Appropriation Act (No. 2) 2011-2012 to:
(a)Reduce the “Administered” item opposite “Outcome 2” under the heading “Payments to States, ACT, NT and local government” for SEWPaC by $30,000,000.00; and
(b)Increase the “Administered” item opposite “Outcome 2” under the heading “Payments to States, ACT, NT and local government” for FaHCSIA by $30,000,000.00.
