An Act to amend the Financial Management Act 1996

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Financial Management Amendment Act 2013.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    This Act amends the Financial Management Act 1996.

  4. Amendment of performance criteria
    Section 19D (2)

    substitute

    (2)The performance criteria may be amended by—

    (a)the responsible Minister for the directorate, territory authority or territory-owned corporation; and

    (b)the Treasurer.

  5. Section 19D (3)

    omit

    the responsible Minister may amend the performance criteria

    substitute

    the performance criteria may be amended

  6. Section 19D (3) (g)

    omit

    the Minister is satisfied

    substitute

    the responsible Minister and the Treasurer are satisfied
