1Name

This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Environment and Energy Measures No. 2) Regulations 2017.

2Commencement

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997

   In the appropriate position in Part 4 of Schedule 1AB (table)

Insert:

214 Surf Life Saving Cleaner Outboard Engines Scheme To provide financial assistance to surf life saving clubs that will support them to upgrade their outboard engines to more efficient models that use less fuel and produce lower greenhouse gas emissions. This objective also has the effect it would have if it were limited to supporting activities that would assist Australia to meets its obligations under one or more of the following: (a) the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; (b) the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; (c) the Paris Agreement.
