REGULATIONS UNDER THE FINANCIAL EMERGENCY ACT 1931.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting, with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Financial Emergency, Act 1931, to come into operation on, and from the, date of the commencement of Part VI. of that Act.

Financial Emergency (War Pensions Inquiry Committee) Regulations.

Short title.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Financial Emergency (War Pensions Inquiry Committee) Regulations.

War Pensions inquiry committee.

2.—(l.) For the purpose of section 41 of the Financial Emergency Act 1931, there shall be a committee to be called the War Pensions Inquiry Committee.

(2.) The Committee shall consist of five members who shall, subject to these Regulations, be appointed by the Minister.

(3.) No person shall be appointed a member of the Committee unless he is a member of an organization of returned soldiers.

(4.) The period of office of each member shall terminate on the fifteenth day of August, 1931.

Recommendations of committee.

3. The Committee shall, on or before the fourteenth day of August, 1931, submit its recommendations to the Minister in pursuance of section forty-one of the Financial Emergency Act 1931.
