AN ACT to continue the operation of the Financial Emergency Act, 1934, as amended by the Finan- cial Emergency Act Amendment Act, 1935.

BE i.t enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice mid consent of the Legisla- tive Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

This Act may be cited as the Financial Emergency Act Amendment Act, 1940, and shall be read as one with the Financial Emergency Act, 1934 (No. 1 of 1934), as amended by the Acts No. 26 of 1934, No. 19 of 1935, No. 18 of 1936, No. 17 of 1937, No. 25 of 1938, and No. 10 of 1939, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Section seventeen of the principal Act (as amended by the Acts No. 19 of 1935, No. 18 of 1936, No. 17 of 1937,

of Act. 2.

Amendment

of s. 17. No. 25 of 1938, and No. 10 of 1939) is amended by delet- ing the word "forty" and substituting therefor the words "forty-one."
