STATUTORY RULES.
PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACTS 1903-1904.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulations under the Defence Acts 1903-1904 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulations to come into operation forthwith as provisional Regulations.

Part II.—Pay of the Permanent Forces.
Regulation 50.—Special Duty Pay and Allowances.
For “Carpenter (tool money), 3d.”—
Read “Carpenter and Shipwright, and Assistant (tool money), 3d.”
After Regulation 50a, add the following:—
“50b. The fees of apprentices who are required to attend any approved College of instruction will be paid by the Government. Should an unsatisfactory report be received from the Director of the College of Instruction, the Commandant shall have power to fine the apprentice concerned any sum not exceeding the total amount of the fees paid by the Government under this regulation.”
Statutory Rule No. 92/1906, amending Regulation 49, is amended as follows:—
