PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910.

Present Regulation numbered 50b to read 50c, and following new Regulation added.
Natal Staff Clerks.
50b. Naval Staff Clerks shall be divided into three classes. The rates of pay shall be as follows;—

(
b ) The Act and Regulations governing the classification, pay, increments, and allowances of the Clerical Division of the Commonwealth Public Service shall apply to Naval Staff Clerks. The granting of increments shall be subject to the recommendation of the Naval Board and the approval of the Minister.(
c ) Notwithstanding the preceding regulation, the Minister may when it appears expedient or desirable in the interests of the Department, appoint an officer at any salary within the limits of Classes II. and III.
