PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1912.

Financial and Allowance Regulation for the Military Forces of the Commonwealth—Regulation 222— Amendment.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1912 should come into immediate operation, and, further, should be taken to have come into operation on and from the first day of January 1914, and make the Regulation to come into operation accordingly as a Provisional Regulation.

AMENDMENT OF FINANCIAL AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE MILITARY FORCES OF THE COMMONWEALTH.

The following sub-paragraph added to Regulation 222 is cancelled:

“This Regulation shall also apply to officers of the Militia Field Artillery who attended the practice camp of the Royal Australia Field Artillery held at National Park, in the 2nd Military District during the months of November and December, 1912, and, in the cases of these officers it shall not have been necessary for them to have obtained a ‘passed’ or higher certificate to have been eligible to draw the allowance as prescribed in this Regulation.”
