PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1911.

Financial and Allowance Regulations (Provisional) for the Military Forces of the Commonwealth—Regulations 184 and 185—Amendments.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulations under the Defence Act1903-1911 should come into immediate operation, and further should be taken to have come into operation on and from the twenty-second day of January, 1911, and make the Regulations to come into operation accordingly as Provisional Regulations.

Financial and Allowance Regulations (Provisional) for the Military Forces of the Commonwealth.

Amendments.

Regulation 184.—Insert new sub-paragraph (h) —

“(h) Officers attending the Staff College Course at Camberley, England, shall receive a consolidated allowance at the rate of £228 per annum during the actual duration of their course. Such allowance to cover all expenses in connexion therewith.”

In present sub-paragraph (f) delete the words “England or” Regulation 185.—After words

“Officers to India and Canada, £25,”

insert

“Officers attending Staff College Course at Camberley, £35,”

and in fourth line, for

“Officers to England, £10,”

substitute

“Other officers to England, £10.”
