PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE

ACT 1903-1912.

Financial and Allowance Regulations for the Military Forces of

the Commonwealth—Regulation 78 (a)—Amendment.

I

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Defiance Act 1903-1912 should come into immediate operation and, further, should be taken to have come into operation on and from the first day of July, 1912, and make the Regulation to come into operation accordingly as a Provisional Regulation.

FINANCIAL AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE MILITARY FORCES OF THE COMMONWEALTH.

 

Amendment.

 

Pay of Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Men.

Regulation 78, paragraph (a).—The following portion of this paragraph under the heading “Sergeant,” which reads—

Consolidated Rates of Pay per Annum.

Daily Rates of Pay.

Sergeant—

Regimental Duty

6s. 9d. to 7s. and allowances (one increment of 3d. per diem after three years in rank of Sergeant).

Military Mechanist Military

£190 to £200 (consolidated, but with uniform). Two annual increments of £5; Subdivisional rates being £190, £195, £200.

Engine-driver

Engineer Clerk

£186 to £199 (consolidated, but with uniform). Two annual increments of £5; Subdivisional rates being £186, £191, £196.
