REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1927.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1927, to come into operation forthwith, excepting Regulation 107, which shall come into operation as from 31st January, 1931.

Financial and Allowance Regulations for the Australian Military Forces and Senior Cadets.

(Statutory Rules 1926, No. 211, as amended to this date.)

Amendments.

1. Paragraph (vi) of Regulation 107 is amended by deleting all the words appearing after the word “business” and inserting instead the words “ to be absent for the other days of the period of the camp.”

2. The figures “160” appearing after Regulation 159 are cancelled.

3. Regulation 161 is renumbered 160.

4. Insert the following new heading and Regulation 161:—

“Voluntary Aid Detachments.

161. Subject to provision being made by Parliament a grant of one shilling per annum for each enrolled efficient member within the establishments approved by the Department of Defence may be paid to State Joint Councils of Voluntary Aid Detachments towards expenses connected with the registration of members and other administrative expenses.”
