Financial and Allowance Regulations for the Military Forces of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Australian Army Ordnance Corps.
(1) The annual consolidated rates of pay shall be as follow:—

(2) Except as provided in the Australian Military Regulations all new appointments to the Australian Army Ordnance Corps shall be made at the minimum rate of pay prescribed above.
(3) A member required to work away from home during the first two years of his appointment, shall be paid an allowance sufficient to make his total salary and allowance up to £89 per annum.
(4) Every Non-commissioned officer and man shall, subject to the approval of the District Commandant, be advanced after twelve months’ service in a subdivision to the next higher subdivision, until his salary reaches £225 per annum, provided that every such member shall be entitled, upon attaining the age of twenty-one years, to a salary of £136 per annum.
(5) Non-commissioned officers and men after they attain the age of twenty-one years shall if married be paid a salary not less than £160 per annum.
(6) A member who has been paid salary at the rate of £136 per annum by reason of having reached the age of twenty-one years shall be advanced after twelve months’ service at the adult minimum salary to £148 per annum, and after a further twelve months’ service, to £166, on which salary he shall remain until he becomes eligible for £178 per annum by advancement through the subdivisions of the ranks. A member receiving £160 per annum on marriage will be eligible for £166 per annum twelve months later, and will remain on that salary until he becomes eligible for advancement through the subdivisions of the ranks. In cases where the marriage eventuated at a salary of £148 per annum, £160 per annum will be payable for the balance of the year, with increase to £166 per annum twelve months after receiving £148 per annum.
(7) Increments or advancement in salary accruing through a member marrying or reaching the age of twenty-one years shall be payable from the first day of the month following the date they accrue.
(8) Every Warrant Officer in the first subdivision of the Directing Staff shall be advanced, after twelve months, to the next higher subdivision, provided that such advancement has been approved by the Minister upon report as to conduct, diligence, and general efficiency.
(9) Increments for commissioned ranks shall be as prescribed in Financial and Allowance Regulation 91, except that increments may be granted annually to Lieutenants on the approval of the Minister.
(10) The annual consolidated rates of pay shall be as follow:—

All promotions to higher rank which carry increase in salary are subject to vacancies occurring in such higher rank.
(11) Where a member receives no increase of pay on transfer within his section of the corps, the time served in his former office may be counted in reckoning the interval for increment.
(12) A member who prior to these Regulations coming into force was in receipt of a salary higher than that now prescribed for the maximum of his rank or appointment shall continue to receive the same pending promotion to a rank with an equivalent or higher rate of salary as prescribed by these Regulations.
(13) The rates of pay prescribed herein include pay for all Sundays and holidays worked. Overtime pay will not be granted nor equivalent time off in lieu.
(14) A free issue of uniform to all ranks may be made on an approved scale, on the formation of the Australian Army Ordnance Corps, but subsequent issues will only be made free to ranks below that of Warrant Officer.
