REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918.

Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive
Council, hereby make the following regulation under the

Financial and Allowance Regulations for the Australian Military Forces and Senior Cadets.
Regulation 38 is cancelled, and the following substituted therefor, dated 1st May, 1921:—
“38. Appointments to Staffs or Commands are classified or graded for Staff or Command Pay as set out hereunder and Officers of the Staff Corps formally appointed thereto whether temporarily or otherwise may, whilst holding the appointment and subject to the necessary provision being made by Parliament, be paid the rates shown in addition to pay of rank:—

1.
Appointments to the Military Board and Classes A, B, and C appointments shall
be subject to the approval or His Excellency the Governor-General in Council,
and shall be notified in the
2. Notification of appointment to positions set out in the above schedule shall be promulgated in Military Order.
3. An officer eligible for a “classified” appointment if detailed to a “graded” appointment shall be classified as may be approved.
4. An officer holding a “classified” appointment who has not received increased permanent or temporary rank for such appointment shall be graded as may be approved by the Military Board.
