1920. No. 33.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903–1918.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903–1918, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of Financial and Allowance Regulations.

Financial and Allowance Regulations for the Australian Military Forces and Senior Cadets are amended as follows:—

(1) Next after regulation 98b the following regulation is inserted: To take effect as from 1st July, 1919:—

98c. The annual consolidated pay of the Inspector of Ordnance Machinery shall be as follows:—

Major—£500 to £575 per annum.

Increments—Three annual increments of £25 each;

The annual consolidated pay of the Assistant Inspector of Ordnance Machinery shall be as follows:—

Captain—£400 to £475 per annum.

Increments—Three annual increments of £25 each.

Note.—Increments shall be dependent on approval of the Minister and provision being made by Parliament.

(2) Regulation 340a is amended by adding the following paragraph:—

“(8) When a member of the Australian. Army Pay Corps is discharged for reasons other than misconduct or inefficiency, payment in lieu of leave due at date of discharge may be granted on the approval of the District Commandant.”
