THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice
of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under
the

1.1 The Finance Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
2.1 Subregulation 4 (1) (definition of “Department”, paragraphs (a), (b), (c) and (da)):
Add at the end “or”.
2.2 Subregulation 4 (1) (definition of “Department”):
Add at the end:
“or (g) the Australian Federal Police;”.
2.3 Subregulation 4 (1) (definition of “Secretary”, paragraphs (a), (b) and (d)):
Add at the end “or”.

2.4 Subregulation 4 (1) (definition of “Secretary”):
Add at the end:
“or (g) where the Department is the Australian Federal Police—the person who holds, or is performing the duties of, the office of Commissioner of Police;”.
3.1 Subregulation 127a(1):
Omit “(g)”, substitute “(j)”.
3.2 Subregulation 127a(2):
Omit “or (c)”, substitute “, (c), (da), (e) or (f)”.
3.3 Subregulation 127a(2):
Omit “(g)”, substitute “(j)”.
3.4 Subregulation 127a(3a):
Omit the subregulation, substitute:
“(3) The Commissioner of Police may give to members, staff members or special members of the Australian Federal Police directions for or in relation to any of the matters referred to in paragraphs 71 (1) (a) to (j) (inclusive) of the Act.”.
3.5 Subregulation 127a(4):
Omit “, (3) or (3a)”, substitute “or (3)”.
3.6 Subregulation 127a(4a):
Omit “paragraph 71 (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f) or (g)”. substitute “paragraph 71 (1) (a) to (j) (inclusive)”.
