Final Determination

under the

Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016

The Scientific Committee established under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 has made a final determination under Division 3 of Part 4 of that Act to list a species as an extinct species. Accordingly, Schedules 1 and 3 to that Act are amended as follows—

(a) Part 1 of Schedule 1 is amended by omitting (under the heading Birds)—

* Amytornis modestus inexpectatus (Mathews, 1912) Thick-billed Grasswren
(central NSW subspecies)

(b) Part 1 of Schedule 3 is amended by inserting in appropriate order (under the heading

Birds)—

Maluridae

* Amytornis modestus inexpectatus (Mathews, 1912) Thick-billed Grasswren
(central NSW subspecies)

This final determination commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
