Fertilisers
Subsidy Regulations
I, THE
ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with
the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following
Regulations under the Fertilisers Subsidy
Act 1986.

Citation
1. These Regulations may
be cited as the Fertilisers Subsidy Regulations.
Commencement
2. These Regulations shall
be deemed to have come into operation on 20 August 1986.
Interpretation
3. In these Regulations,
unless the contrary intention appears:
“compound
of a trace element” means a compound specified in regulation 5 to be a compound
of a trace element;
“the
Act” means the Fertilisers Subsidy Act
1986;
“trace
element” means an element specified in regulation 4 to be a trace element.
Trace elements
4. Each of the elements
boron, cobalt, copper, manganese, molybdenum and zinc is specified to be a
trace element in relation to which section S of the Act applies.
Compounds of trace
elements
5. Any chemical compound
that consists of a trace element chemically united with another element or
elements is specified to be a compound of a trace element in relation to which
section 5 of the Act applies.
Substances containing
trace elements
6. (1) Zinc dross that contains not less than 70% by weight of zinc is
specified to be a substance in relation to which section 5 of the Act applies.
(2) A substance, other than
a compound of a trace element, that contains not less than 6% by weight of
molybdenum is specified to be a substance in relation to which section 5 of the
Act applies.
(3) A substance, other than
a compound of a trace element or a substance specified in subregulation (1) or
(2), that contains not less than 40% by weight of a compound of a trace element
or of 2 or more compounds of a trace element is specified to be a substance in
relation to which section 5 of the Act applies.
