AN ACT to amend the Fertilisers and Feeding

Stuffs Act, 1904.

[Assented to 23rd December, 1905.]

and Legislative Assembly of • Western Australia, in this presentBE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by andwith the advice and consent of the Legislative Council

Parliament assembled, and - by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1.     This Act may be cited as the Fertilisers and Feeding Stuffs Short title.

Amendment Act, 1905, and shall be read as one with the Fertilisers and Feeding Stuffs Act, 1904, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2.     Section three of the principal Act is hereby amended, as Amendment of Act

follows :--

No. 7 of 1904, s. 3.

(a.) The definition of " acid soluble phosphate " is struck out and the following is inserted in place thereof:—"' Acid soluble phosphoric acid' means phosphoric acid con- tained in compounds soluble in acids, except water soluble phosphoric acid' and citrate soluble phos- phoric acid,' as hereinafter defined."

Amendment.

The definition of " citrate soluble phosphate " is struck out, and the following is inserted in place thereof :— " Citrate soluble phosphoric acid' means phosphoric acid contained in compounds soluble in citrate of ammonia."

The definition of " water soluble phosphate " is struck out, and the following is inserted in place thereof :— " Water soluble phosphoric acid' means phosphoric acid contained in compounds soluble in water."

S.A. No. 747 (1900),

(d.) The definition of dealer is struck out, and the following is inserted in place thereof :—" Dealer ' means any person who conies on business as a manufacturer, importer, vendor, or dealer in any fertiliser or food for cattle, for purposes of trade, and whether such person carries on any other business or trade or not."

S.A. No. 825 (1903),

(e.) In the definition of " fertiliser," all the words after " seaweed " are struck out, and the following words are inserted in place thereof :—" or such other material as the Governor may, by proclamation in the Government Gazette, except."

Amendment of Act 3. Section eleven of the principal Act is hereby amended by

Wherever in the principal Act the word " phosphate " occurs,

All copies of the principal Act hereafter printed by the Government Printer shall be printed as amended by this Act. under the supervision of the Clerk of the Parliaments, and a reference to this Act made in the margin.
