HEREAS from the financial condition of the Province and the
W | Land Department it is necessary in accordance with the practice of |
other Colonies to levy a charge on the issue of Land Grants |
BE IT THEBEFORE ENACTED | by His Excellency GEORGE |
Esquire Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Province of South Austrdia by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows-That is to say That from and after the Fifteenth day of November next it shall be lawful for the Resident Commissioner of Public Lands or such other officer as may in that behalf be by him duly appointed to levy and receive from every party who shall apply for any Grant of Land from the said office for
and in respect of the delivery of every such Grant whether the
same shall relate to land then previously selected or thereafter to
be selected the respective fees specified and contained in the
Schedule hereto aunexed which shall be paid to the Colonial Treasurer and appropriated in such manner as the Governor in Council may ordain and be applied to the public uses of the Pxo- vince and support of the Government thereof:
