122 (Queensland ANNO QUARTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE ?` o. 5 of 196 5 An Act to Amend " The Farm Water Supplies Assistance Acts, 1958 to 1963," in a certain particular [ASSENTED TO 8TH APRIL. 1965; BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty. by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same. as follows:- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Farm Water Supplies Assistance Acts Amendment Act of 196-5.- (1) Principal Act. " The Farm Water Supplies Assistance Acts, 1958 to 1963.' are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective title . The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Farm Pater Supplies Assistance Acts, 1958 ;0 '.96

Subsection (1) of section five of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraph (b) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:- (6) He shall refer the application to- (1) (where the land, upon which the works, the subject of the application, are proposed to be carried out, is assigned land within the meaning of " The Sugar Experiment Stations Acts, 1900 to 1959" ' ) the Director of Sugar Experiment Stations appointed under those Acts; and (ii) in any other case, the Director-General, Department of Primary Industries, for a report upon the prospects of success of the farming operations for the purpose whereof the works to which the application relates are proposed and the said Director or, as the case may be, Director-General shall cause such a report to be made and furnished to the Commissioner."
