An Act to amend The Farm Water Supplies Assistance Acts, 1958 to 1965 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 1ST MAY, 1975] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) Tais Act may be cited as the Farm Water Supplies Assistance Acts Amendment Act 1975. (2) The Farm Water Supplies Assistance Act of 1958 as subsequently amended is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Farm Water Supplies Assistance Act 1958-1975.

Farm Water Supplies Assistance Acts Amendment Act 1975, No. 8 23 2. Amendmen t of long title . The long title to the Principal Act is amended by inserting after the word " Supply " where it firstly occurs the words " or Drainage ". 3. Amendmen t of s. 2. Section 2 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) inserting after the definition " Commissioner " the following definition:- " " Drainage "-Includes the draining of flood or other waters or of watercourses or lakes, by means of works;"; (b) in the definition " Works " inserting after the word " purposes " the words " or of drainage on farm lands ".
