An Act to amend section 5 of the Farm Water Storages and Bores Subsidies
Act. 1973. so as to terminate the scheme of subsidy payments

established under that Act, and to provide for the repeal of that Act.

Farm Water Storages and Bores Subsidies (Amendment and Repeal) 1984

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the "Farm Water Storages and Bores

Subsidies (Amendment and Repeal) Act, 1984".

Amendment of Act No. 58, 1973.

1. The Farm Water Storages and Bores Subsidies Act, 1973. is amended

by inserting after section 5 (2) the following subsections: —

(2A) Notwithstanding anything in this Act, but subject to

subsections ( 2 B ) and (2c), an application for a subsidy shall not be approved or, if approved, payment of the subsidy shall not be made if the application was made after 30th June. 1983.

( 2 B ) Subject to subsection (2c), a subsidy toward the cost

of work to which an application relates is not payable until after the completion of the work and, in any event, is not payable in respect of work which is completed after 30th April, 1985.

(2c) A subsidy shall not be payable after 30th June, 1985,

Repeal.

3. On a day (not earlier than 1st July, 1985) to be appointed by the Governor in respect thereof and notified by proclamation published in the Gazette, each Act specified in Schedule 1 is, to the extent indicated therein, repealed.
