Farm Produce Amendment (Savings

and, Transitional) Regulation 1997

Farm Produce Act 1983

His Excellency, the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Farm Produce Act

1983.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to repeal certain obsolete provisions of the Farm Produce Regulation 1983 and to restrict the application of that Regulation to matters relating to farm produce sold by a producer before or on 30 June 1997, or sold by a farm produce agent on behalf of a producer before or on 30 June 1997, and for which payment became due no later than on 31 July 1997.

This Regulation is made under the Farm Produce Act 1983, including legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Farm Produce Amendment (Savings and

Transitional) Regulation 1997.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 31 August 1997.

3 Amendment

The Farm Produce Regulation 1983 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.

2 Application of Regulation

This Regulation applies to and in respect of farm produce sold by a producer before or on 30 June 1997, or sold by a farm produce agent on behalf of a producer before or on 30 June 1997, being farm produce for which payment became or becomes due no later than on 3 1 July 1997.

Omit the definitions of bug, porter and rigid package from clause 2 (1).

Omit the subclause.

Omit the Part.
