FARM DEBT MEDIATION AMENDMENT ACT 1996 No 106—

PROCLAMATION

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Farm Debt Mediation Amendment Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 2 May 1997 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence on 2 May 1997 the uncommenced provisions of the Farm Debt Mediation Mediation Amendment Act 1996. Schedule 1 [10] to the Act (which provides for savings and transitional provisions) commenced on the date of assent to the Act, being 2 December 1996 (see section 2 (2) of the Act).
