An Act to amend the Family Violence Act 2004

Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Family Violence Amendment (Protecting People and Their Pets) Act 2024. 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Family Violence Act 2004 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4The amendments effected by this section have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Family Violence Act 2004. 5The amendments effected by this section have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Family Violence Act 2004. 6Repeal of ActThis Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which this Act commences.
