Family Law Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Family Law Act 1975.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 September 1987.

Fee in respect of proceedings for divorce or nullity

2. Regulation 11 of the Family Law Regulations is amended by omitting from subregulation (1) “$200” and substituting “$240”.

Fee in respect of appeals

3. Regulation 16 of the Family Law Regulations is amended by omitting from subregulation (1) “$300” and substituting “$360”.

Prescribed laws for purposes of subsections 114ab (1) and (2) of the Act

4. Regulation 19 of the Family Law Regulations is amended by inserting after paragraph (a) the following paragraph:

“(aa) the Crimes (Family Violence) Act 1987 of the State of Victoria;”.

Schedule 2

5. Schedule 2 to the Family Law Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting:

“Hawaii”

and substituting:

“Hawaii

Illinois”; and

(b) by omitting:

“Utah”

and substituting:

“Utah

Vermont”.
