Family Law Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Family Law Act 1975.

Proceedings not to be instituted in court of summary jurisdiction except prescribed court

Regulation 10a of the Family Law Regulations is amended by omitting subregulation (2) and substituting the following subregulation:

“(2) For the purposes of section 44a of the Act, each of the following is a prescribed court:

(a) a court constituted by a stipendiary magistrate who is the Registrar or a Deputy Registrar of the Family Court of Western Australia;

(b) the Magistrates Court established by section 18 of the Magistrates Court Ordinance 1930 of the Australian Capital Territory.”.
