1Name

This instrument is the Family Law Amendment (Miscellaneous Measures) Regulations 2020.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

1. The whole of this instrument	The later of: (a) the day after this instrument is registered; and (b) the day section 18 of the Surrogacy Act 2019 (SA) commences. However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur.	1 September 2020 (paragraph (b) applies)

Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this instrument as originally made. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this instrument.

3Authority

This instrument is made under the Family Law Act 1975.

4Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Family Law Regulations 1984

Regulation 12C (table item 5)

Repeal the item, substitute:

5 Family Relationships Act 1975 (SA), sections 10C and 10EA

Regulation 12CA (table item 4)

Omit “sections 10B and 10C”, substitute “section 10C”.

Regulation 12CAA (table item 5)

Repeal the item, substitute:

5	Family Relationships Act 1975 (SA), section 10HB, as that section was in force immediately before it was repealed by the Surrogacy Act 2019 (SA)
5A	Surrogacy Act 2019 (SA), section 18

Paragraph 12CB(e)

Repeal the paragraph, substitute:

   Services Australia;
