WE, Judges of the Family Court of Australia, hereby make the following Rules of Court under the Family Law Act 1975.

Principal Rules

1. In these Rules, “Principal Rules” means the Family Court of Australia (Delegation of Powers) Rules.

Delegation of powers to Registrars

2. Rule 1 of Order 2 of the Principal Rules is amended by omitting paragraph (2) (n) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(n) Order 38, rules 13, 14, 15, 16 and 20 and subrules 3 (1) and 29 (1).”.

Application

3. The amendment effected by rule 2 applies in relation to proceedings commenced on or after the commencement of these Rules and, notwithstanding that amendment, the provision so amended continues to apply in relation to proceedings commenced before that commencement as if that provision had not been amended.
