s1 2 s3 Fair Trading (Smoke Escape) No. 9, 1997 ˙ Short title 1. This order may be cited as the Fair Trading (Smoke Escape) Order 1997 . ˙ Meaning of “smoke escape” 2.(1) A “smoke escape” is a device intended to be worn over the head as personal protection against fire or smoke, made or partly made of plastic, and with a built-in filter for particles being inhaled. (2) However, a device is not a smoke escape if it substantially filters out or detoxifies toxic gas. ˙ Supply of smoke escape prohibited 3.
