Fair Trading (General) Amendment

(Children’s Toys) Regulation 2005

Fair Trading Act 1987

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Fair Trading Act 1987.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Fair Trading (General) Regulation 2002 to ensure that provisions relating to the product safety standard for certain products and materials in children’s toys are complementary with the corresponding Commonwealth provisions.

This Regulation is made under the Fair Trading Act 1987, including sections 26 and 92 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fair Trading (General) Amendment (Children’s
Toys) Regulation 2005.

2 Amendment of Fair Trading (General) Regulation 2002

The Fair Trading (General) Regulation 2002 is amended by omitting clause 32A (e).
