  1. Name of regulation

    This regulation is the Fair Trading (Consumer Product Standards) Amendment Regulation 2005 (No 1).

  2. Commencement

    This regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    This regulation amends the Fair Trading (Consumer Product Standards) Regulation 2002.

  4. New division 2.1A

Division 2.1A            Baby bath aids

6ADefinitions for div 2.1A

In this division:

baby bath aids means baby bath aids to which the TPA standard applies.

TPA standard means the consumer product safety standard prescribed for baby bath aids by the Trade Practices (Consumer Product Safety Standard) (Baby Bath Aids) Regulations 2005 (Cwlth) as in force from time to time.

6BSafety standard

(1)The consumer product safety standard for baby bath aids is the TPA standard.

(2)The Legislation Act, section 47 (6) does not apply to the TPA standard.

Note 1The text of an applied, adopted or incorporated law of another jurisdiction, in force from time to time, is taken to be a notifiable instrument if the operation of the Legislation Act, s 47 (6) is not disapplied (see s 47 (7)).
