Fair Trading (Code of Practice for Motor Vehicle Traders) Amendment Regulations 2000

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Fair Trading Act 1990 .7 August 2000

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Fair Trading (Code of Practice for Motor Vehicle Traders) Amendment Regulations 2000 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 commences. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Fair Trading (Code of Practice for Motor Vehicle Traders) Regulations 1996 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Schedule 1 amended (Code of Practice for Motor Vehicle Traders)Clause 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from the definition of "motor vehicle""by the Traffic Act 1925 other than a ride-on lawn mower as specified in that definition" and substituting "in the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 but includes a self-propelled lawn mower or grass mower (irrespective of its maximum speed)".
