2 Fair Trading (Child Cot Restraints) No. 338, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This order may be cited as the Fair Trading (Child Cot Restraints) Order 1993 . ˙ Prohibition on supply of certain goods 2. The supply of goods set out in Schedule 1 is prohibited under section 85 of the Act. ˙ Restriction on supply of certain goods 3.(1) The supply of goods set out in Schedule 2 is authorised under section 85 of the Act subject to the condition that the following notice is attached to the goods— “WARNING—This Device Is Intended To Be Used For The Management Of Gastro Oesophageal Reflux In Children. Use Only On The Advice Of A Medical Practitioner.”. (2) In the notice mentioned in subsection (1)— (a) the word “WARNING” must be— (i) in red letters on a white background; and (ii) in capital letters not less than 5 mm high; and (b) the first letter of all other words must be in capital letters not less than 5 mm high.

3 Fair Trading (Child Cot Restraints) No. 338, 1993 ¡ SCHEDULE 1 PROHIBITED GOODS section 2 The following devices designed or intended to restrain or restrict the movement of a child in a cot or bed— (a) “Baby Safe Cot or Bed Restraint”; (b) “Johnco Safety Sleep”; (c) “Sleepsafe Suit”; (d) “Zewi Safety Cover”; (e) “Safe n Snug”.
